the only common item that is dropped is the rainbow barf (about every 3rd zombie), creating complete hilarity. furthermore, xp for all players is cut in half, to avoid abuse. any other rare drops (like rare weapon drops, see other suggestions) are still enabled. all normal drops including gems and gold are removed. upon purchase, the item is automatically consumed, and every game server goes into happy hour mode, which basically changes the drop rates. Other Notes: although the item is not purchasable through the store, another item called "rainbow happy hour" could be sold at the price of 5 million gold. alternatively, it could be the one of the eyes of the monster,, which would make more sense to more people. for those that don't get it, the Green Sun is arguably the power source for this guy, which barfed up rainbows in the flash in the link provided. Once the animation and attack are over, all dead zombies are left as pile's of ash.įurthermore, once the complete annihilation of the undead is complete, a message baring "Player-Name Has BARFED RAINBOWS" (in multicolored text) is put up in the IRC, much like the leveling up achievement.ĭrop Icon: (mspa readers will understand the significance of this icon. temporarily removing blood decals and and shading should reduce the lag (although the weapon should force some lag by slowing down time, for dramatic effect of course). during the animation all zombies on the server are killed, so there does not need to be any hit detection. the weapons effect is much like the lasers, however MASSIVE in size, covering the entire screen, and has a rainbow colored appearance, just like this moment in the linked flashĭuring charge-up, the player is invulnerable, and when the laser is fired it covers the entire screen. Time till disappearance: none, lasts as long as gems on the groundĪctivated: instantly upon pickup, does not override any weapons.Įffect: the server removes all decals, blood, and disables shadowing. Obtained through: rare zombie drop (as rare as gems) This will make perfect sense to those familiar with MSPA's 7000+ page Homestuck comic, but for those that don't, this page in the comic is my inspiration You'll get much more arrows with a drowning trap and plenty of EXP from the zombie trap. So, i got to thinking, what would be a great one time use item, but would also be absent from the shop? a one time use item called the Rainbow Barf comes to mind. It's just too difficult and impractical to attempt a skeleton EXP grinder in SMP. I've tried my best at a skeleton SMP EXP grinder before, but had to revert it to what I previously had it as a drowning trap because I kept getting shot and if I blocked off the view I was wasting too many arrows. But if not, use a drowning trap on the skeleton spawner and keep them separate. If both spawners are close enough to be activated at the same time then yes, I also recommend routing them to the same spot for double EXP. This is somewhat beyond basics though so if you need help just let me know. Then just switch back and forth between these methods as you need arrows. The archer spawner, then use a redstone machine to flip a switch and re-route both mobs into one pit when you have enough arrows and farm both spawners at once so you get twice the xp in half the time. If you are close enough to activate both the zombie and archer spawner you should create a drowning trap for Unless you are close enough to activate both the zombie spawner and the skelly spawner, yes, your idea is better if you are lazy and inefficient.ĮDIT:scratch that. I would much rather spend an extra fraction of a second pulling my bow back far enough to make it one block so I can get 5 xp per than get zero xp and go afk so I can collect the loot I quickly wont need, go over to the zombie spawner, go afk, go to the pit, and swing away. I was making enough XP that I was able to charge people to use it for 30 minutes at a time (mainly because my grinders were dual spawners but I digress) And my XP rate was insane, It was to the point that I stopped using my Zombie grinder entirely and just alternated between my spider grinder and my skelly grinder. With my mob grinder I ended up with a double chest full of arrows. I don't know the exact drop rates, but the chance of skeletons dropping zero arrows is incredibly low while the chances of mobs dropping two arrows is not quite low enough. That's like saying farming wheat to get more seeds to make more wheat is counter productive just because there's a chance it will drop 0 seeds. Might as well make it so you can stand AFK and get the loot. And it's still impractical to try and make a working skeleton EXP grinder in SMP. Using arrows to get arrows is counter-productive.
